Painters Life and View – Oscar Claude Monet  appeared as one  the greatest gift to world of Art from the Natural flow of Art of France .   His life ( 1840-1926 ) could  be considered also as an art . He  not just only made world famous paintings , but to the world , he  introduced the   impressionism   effect to the movement of art  . Both his life and paintings carried the vibes of life .

To feel the beauty of this painting , we must not focus just on the anatomy of the painting – rather to get it more closed to our heart , we need to focus on the  PSYCHOLOGICAL -ANALYSIS   of the painter to get his life . His life is not less artistic than his created Art .

First , take a look to the  Painting , then  move on to the overall background of the painting and finally the Psychological Analysis of the Artist .

Painting – Very technically the weeping willow   is based on the landscape of the  late afternoon .  The  darkness  started to kiss  the earth and typically almost from less than 45 degree angle sun  reflects on the earth like a smile  and the finally for a time being the mixed up darkness and last light , make a little flashy area with an inclusive fantasy . For any Painter , this type of structure is one of the most critical to express the thinking .

Here the painter needs to mix up light , shadow and the conflicted area of mixed zone , from where both the glossy reflection  or  typical shadow of the object  can come out and to visualize them the painter needs not just only the various usage of colors , but sometimes   he needs to focus on some special colors,  which are not so common in usage to this kind of art .

Technically the darker green , and then a flash of pink or red . This is highly uncommon .

Now the  Purple generally symbolizes the seasons and life cycle , and lighter and glossy part of the extended tree body reflects on the hope of future and the extended  reflection on the pond area , could be treated as the past or memories of life as they are really  soon to be gone .

Usage of curves , loops with long strokes of brushworks , movement from left side with light tonality to right side with wormer colors -  are just really descriptive . Usage of both wet and dry layers are also very much potential .

So very technically from all aspects ,  this painting is a speaking one  . And to be frank , The Painter just personified the Painting with random usages of vibrant colors .

BEFORE THE PAINTING ------

Claude Monte  witnessed the 1ST  World War with 1st person experience . His most of the family members along with others were being shifted to safer place with the movement of Germans and on the other side , in war front his son was also in danger zone . And he was not moving physically from his home , where the garden is supposed to be.

PSYCHOLOGICAL - ANALYSIS OF CLAUDE MONET  – What a sensitive and significantly highly tuned word for the Title  !    weeping   . Neither crying and nor complaining .  Just weeping – this weeping is sounding to the Painter .  But how ???

Actually none knows the exact answer . Art is never like  any structured formula , but it follows the ongoing inner vibes of the artist  .  Realization is not enough – rather the feeling is more effective for both Art and Artist . If one creates the questions within you , then the other is answer and if one comes to as an  answer , then the other one creates  the questions  - This is Art . And this opinion is the reflection of  Rabindra Nath Tagore on Art ---Rabindra Nath Tagore- The Artist

Claude Monet personified  The Willow   .  Almost it  stands  alone in the garden  . Iit is kissed with light , wind  and many  other natural elements ,  those are  vital for living beings .

Lets we be backed to  the time of this painting .

One side the ongoing first world war and on the other side the painter is almost bent to  age .  The war is yet to be gone  and so the  peace is yet to come . And the painter is also heading to ending point and so called eternal peace is yet to be in his own life .

So from  one aspect the pain is certain or on the other aspect  the gain or peace is so  uncertain as none knows about the ending of war and none knows really about anything after the physical  death .

So  the conflict goes on to between certain pain and uncertain gain .

So what we will be doing then being within this conflict ?

Most of us here will generally wait and watch , watch and wait and finally at final time the final effort to survive may be experienced .

The Willow is tall enough , has so many branches , some are downing and many are following to the direction of light.

As the Painter personified the Willow , hopefully as per many psychologists , the painter tried to place his own soul through that Weeping Willow , as we all have a natural tendency to exists and creative persons use their talent to exist and express them  through their works .

POSSIBILITIES –  1) The poet was also old like that   Willow    who could not stand alone properly but could nit die to and in this the Willow   is bent but the head is up .

2)  Both the Painter and the Willow was covered by living beings and in the life of the painter , his closed people and even in some cases  their memory could be treated as those living beings.

3) The Willow s  some parts were not good and some branches were heading to the light and those top branches are little distanced from the root and in Painters life we may imagine him to miss many like that not well conditioned part of the Willow   and like the distanced branches  towards the light , could be like  his leaving family members and next generations to move on for a safer and better life and were distanced from him.

Actually all these are possibilities and possibilities keep art as living soul and that soul is the biggest art and it was positively colored by Oscar Claude Monet
